Glaciers

These photos were taken from videotape on the same seaplane sightseeing flight as
my Juneau photos. The flight was an optional
excursion I took on a day in port from an Alaska cruise. Be sure to see the second page
of Alaska Glaciers.

Our cruise went from Seward, Alaska to Vancouver, British Columbia. (Seward is a port
in the Anchorage
area.) This route is known as the Inner Passage and has become very popular over the
past decade. Most cruises of this type last seven days and go in one direction. In our
case, we flew to Anchorage and took a bus to Seward to board the cruise ship.

Don't confuse the glaciers with the mountains. The glacier is the river of ice between
the mountains.
